The GAAI Certification Process
From Preparation to Verified Competency.
GAAI certification is awarded only to candidates who meet the applicable eligibility requirements and successfully complete the required assessment or examination.
Certification Is Earned.
The same sequence applies to every GAAI credential, so outcomes stay comparable.
Select the certification aligned with your experience and goals. Each credential maps to a published GAAI standard, so the competency being assessed is defined in advance.
Complete optional training through a GAAI Authorized Training Provider, or prepare independently where permitted. Training prepares candidates; it does not on its own result in certification.
Meet the applicable eligibility and prerequisite requirements for the credential. Requirements will be published by GAAI for each certification.
Complete the required GAAI examination and, where applicable, a practical assessment. The same assessment applies whichever preparation pathway a candidate followed.
Candidates who satisfy all applicable requirements receive the GAAI credential. Certification is never issued on course completion alone.
Active credentials can be verified through GAAI VERIFY™, so employers and institutions can confirm a credential rather than take it on trust.
Meet the applicable continuing education, renewal and maintenance requirements so the credential continues to reflect current competency.
