Certified is not the same as authorized. Holding a GAAI Certified AI Auditor credential does not by itself mean an auditor is authorized to perform every GAAI assessment. Where applicable, authorization status is shown separately on the record. Auditors are also subject to independence and conflict-of-interest requirements, which can prevent them from assessing a particular organization.
