The draft may be opened for stakeholder feedback so practical concerns surface before publication.
The Standards Council considers review outcomes and decides whether the standard is ready to publish.
The approved standard is published with a version number, publication date and effective date.
Implementation is monitored to understand how the standard performs in practice.
The standard is revised as technologies, risks, practices and organizational needs change.
